What is Mabon?

Occurring annually between September 21st and September 24th (the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere), 

Mabon is the Second Harvest festival. It is the celestial turning point where light and shadow exist in exact 12-hour equilibrium.

Mabon is a time of both gratitude and grief: we celebrate the fruits of our labor while simultaneously honoring the fading sun and preparing to release what can no longer survive the coming winter.

This candle is infused with the subtle alchemy of the 5 of Cups.
In tarot, the 5 of Cups represents the heavy, necessary moment of grief when three cups have spilled—yet two remain standing behind you, full of unmined potential. 

Mabon is the seasonal embodiment of this card. As the green world dies back, we grieve the passing of summer, but Gilded Sorrow reminds us to turn around and claim the golden harvest that remains.
